Your Grand Morocco Tour begins with a morning departure by 4×4 from Marrakech to Ouarzazate. A superb drive through the High Atlas and the Tizi-N-Tichka (2260 m). Leads to the Telouet castle, the ancestral home of Pacha Glaoui. Visit the Kasbah then continue by Ounila Valley to the Kasbah of Ait Ben-Haddou for a tour and lunch. In the afternoon, departure by 4×4 to Ouarzazate, dinner, and overnight at the hotel.
Morning departure by 4×4 to the Dades Gorge and Todra. Through the Oasis of Skoura, crossing the track to get you closer to the park and its Kasbah. Continue by road to reach El Kelaa M’Gouna and take the trail through the Valley of Roses. Which is known as the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. And continue to the fabulous Dades Gorge for lunch. In the afternoon, you leave for the Todra Gorge for dinner and overnight in the gorge – hotel or guest house.
After breakfast, and a short walk through the valley of Tinghir. The grand tour of Morocco continues to the Merzouga desert, via Tinjdad, Erfoud, and its famous fossilized marbles. After Rissani, the old capital of Tafilalet, a track takes you into the Merzouga Desert. At the foot of the dunes, it’s a short camel ride to the camp. In the middle of Erg Chebbi, see and enjoy a gorgeous sunset. After welcoming mint tea, dinner, and a lively Nomad evening, a good night’s sleep in tents or under the stars.
After an early morning sunrise and breakfast, departure to Zagora. Crossing Tafilalt and the vast mineral Massif Bougafer and on to Anif and lunch in Tazzarine. Then on to Tansikhte via the desert track over the Reg between Jebel Rhart on the left and the Draa Valley on the right. On arrival in Zagora at the hotel, dinner and a night of good sleep.
After breakfast, we continue towards the Nomadic village of M’Hamid. In Tamgroute you will visit the Koranic library and studio-pottery cooperative. In M’Hamid you have lunch and continue by 4×4 through extensive, varied landscapes to Chegaga, Erg, Reg, Oasis, and Hammada. After a climb on foot to the top of the highest dune (300m). Spectacular view of the Sahara and breathtaking sunset, there will be dinner. A musical evening, and of course night in a Nomad tent in the camp, or under the stars.
After breakfast, you leave for Taliouin along the track between the Erg Chegaga and the dry bed of the Draa through Lake Iriqui and Foum-Zguid. The road continues via Taznakhat stopping off at the Carpet Cooperative for a detailed explanation of the different types of carpets. Then lunch and transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, the road takes you to Agadir via Taroudant, a town known as Little Marrakech with its red walls, ramparts, and souks. Then on to Agadir with its vast sandy beach, and over 300 days of sunshine per year. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Grand Tour Morocco continues along the Atlantic, passing the beautiful villages of Aourir, Taghazout, Temanar. Some small stops along the way through enchanting landscapes to Essaouira, where you will stop for dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Essaouira, a small and peaceful, is a beautiful walled city with its architecture, its fishing port, its bustling streets, and friendly people. You will be enchanted by the culture, art, colors, and scents of exotic species, as well as the crafts of cedar, not forgetting its famous music Festival (Gnaoua music). Essaouira has a long, sandy Atlantic beach swept by soft winds. After a visit to the town, your journey continues on to Marrakech.
