Day Trip to the Ait Benhaddou Kasbah

If you’d like to reconnect with nature and discover this beautiful country’s history while at the same time enjoying a calm one-day getaway, you came to the right place. Let us first take you on a virtual trip through the old lands surrounding Marrakech.

The departure is at 7 AM, from the red city of Marrakech. We’ll travel towards Ouarzazate for 200KM. We’ll be crossing the High Atlas mountains through the Tizi N’ Tichka mountain pass. The colorful landscape, which is the perfect mix of mountains and desert, will make your journey unforgettable. You’ll also get to see many Berber villages scattered all around the mountains, making the scenery even more alive and interesting. You’ll also discover many Kasbahs that were declared UNESCO World Heritage, and get to take incredibly beautiful pictures to keep memories from your trip to Morocco.

The trip will be divided into two main parts:

Ait Benhaddou Kasbah

We will visit the Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, where you’ll be able to discover old Moroccan architecture in all its beauty. The design and antic history of the site will show you another side of Morocco, a more traditional and modest one, compared to the modern Marrakech.

You’ll also get to discover this Kasbah as the filming site of many great movies and TV shows, such as Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and Game of Thrones.

We’ll have a lunch break at a restaurant by the Taourirte Kasbah, in Ouarzazate, one of the shooting sites for Stars Wars.

After all this adventure, we’ll hit the road again for Marrakech, where we’ll arrive at 7 pm. You’ll be then able to enjoy the rest of your evening in the red city.
